Please Move the Deer Crossing

Donna of Fargo, ND, says she has had several car accidents with deer just after she saw a deer crossing sign. She wants the deer crossing signs removed from busy highways so that the deer will cross elsewhere.

Is she really serious...she sounds serious.  But she must be high on something if she believes deer can read the sign and know to cross there.

She decided to call into a radio station when she couldn't get satisfaction any place else (I wonder why).

18 Cops Saved Blow-Up Doll From Drowning

Police in the China's Shangdong Province were notified that woman's body was floating down the river.

At least 1000 onlookers gathered to watch the rescue. Rescuers worked for an hour to rescue the "victim"...a blow-up doll.

"Shandong is an important center for producing [adult] toys in China and supplying them across the globe".

When the doll was removed from the water and presented to the onlookers, parents began to cover children's eyes and walked away.  Both are inappropriate, but it's okay for kids to see a dead body, but draw the line at a blow-up adult toy.

Recently, villagers in China were digging and found what they thought was a rare mushroom.

The television station did a report on the find and they were all pretty sure it was the rare mushroom.  Well, it wasn't a mushroom at all...it was a male self pleasure toy.

This is from the reporter in the story about the strange "mushroom".

"As we can all see, this looks like a type of fungus, on both ends of which you'll find mushroom heads.  On this side, you can see what looks like a pair of lips."

ROTFL! Watch the video on the unusual "mushroom" here.

The reporter will never live this down!  The television channel offered an apology after the video went viral.

"Please forgive our oversight," the channel said.  "As our reporter was very young and unwise, this report has brought great inconvenience to everyone."

Enjoy your day!

Man Posts Craigslist Ad For Rape of His Wife

Justin Matthew Crawford, 32, of Twin Falls, Idaho placed an ad on craigslist.org for men to rape his wife.

Police responded to a disturbance at the Crawford's residence around 2 a.m. on Friday, July 13.  Crawford's wife said a man came to the door earlier in the day and asked her name.  When she told him, he entered the house and began chasing her.

She said she ran to the downstairs bedroom and got a gun.  She and the intruder struggled with the gun.  A shot was fired, but no one was injured.  She said the intruder took the gun away from her and left.

The next morning, officers were again called the the couple's home for another report of disturbance.  Crawford's wife was holding another man at gunpoint.  She said she fired a shot, but no one was hurt.

Police interviewed the second man and he told them he came to the house because he responded to an ad on craigslist.  He said is was placed by a 32 year-old woman who wanted to be raped as a fantasy.

Subsequently, officers checked Crawford's phone and found evidence of the craigslist ad.  Crawford then admitted he placed the ad for men to rape his wife when she was home alone.

Too bad the wife was such a poor shot.  Also, the first intruder took her gun...where did she get another?  Maybe they have a cache of weapons in their home.

Crawford is in jail under a $100,000 bond and is due in court on July 27. He should be charged with attempted rape and attempted murder.  Those men, stupid as they were, could have been killed.

Why?  Something is not right here.

Fight in Pot Shop and Thief Trapped for Nine Hours

Raul Garay went into a marijuana dispensary in Albuquerque on June 21. Garay, 42, wanted to purchase medicinal cannabis.

Ed Gifford, owner of Zia Health and Wellness, said he refused to sell to Garay because he didn't have a card. Garay became agitated. He threatened Gifford with an airsoft gun, although it looked like a real gun. He told Gifford he had his homies with him.

Garay took a swing at Gifford and that's how the fight started. They moved outside to the parking lot where Garay's son hit Gifford in the head with a golf club. Gifford said Garay bit him and his son who also works at the pot shop.

Garay was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and child abuse.  His15 year-old son was charged with two counts of aggravated battery.

A would-be thief was unable to think on his feet; he was lying on his stomach with his head trapped under a door.

Manuel Fernandes, 54, attempted to break into a Rent-A-Center storage facility. He used a bed post to pry open a garage door, but as he was sliding underneath the door, the post fell and he got stuck. Fernandes, of Brockton, MA, said he got stuck around midnight. The store manager found him the next morning around 9 a.m. He was unhurt and talking with the store manager who called police.

Although he complained of a headache, Fernandes had no serious injuries. He is charged with breaking and entering and malicious damage to property.

Boy Hides from Three Intruders; Calls 911

An 11 year-old boy, in Hollywood, Florida was at home alone when he heard three teenagers breaking in the house. He called his Dad, Luis Gutierrez, Sr., who had just left to go to the store.  Luis Sr called 911 to report the break in while on his way home.

Luis, Jr. got his dog, the phone, found a hiding place beneath his bed and called 911.

Luis was able to remain calm and speak quietly while talking to the 911 operator; he was very brave.

Want it Wednesday - Denim Capris - $24.99(Plus) and $22.99(Missy)

My issue with this story is the 911 operator. Although I'm not blaming her for following procedure, initially, she didn't believe Luis and told him she wasn't sure it was a real emergency.

Prank calls are a problem for 911 operators, but it's better to err on the side of caution which she did.

In an emergency, every second counts. Should 911 operators take precious time deciding if there is a real emergency or should they send emergency assistance even if they believe it is a prank?

What do you think? Scroll down and leave your comments.

Utah Mom Cuts Daughter's Hair in Court

Valerie Bruno filed a complaint against a Juvenile Court Judge because she claims he encouraged her to cut off her 13 year-old daughter's ponytail in court.

In March, Bruno's daughter, Kaytlen Lopan, and her 11-year-old friend were at a McDonald's. While there, they befriended a 3 year-old girl.

Lopan and her friend decided to cut the 3 year-olds hair, but didn't have scissors. They asked to borrow a pair of scissors from McDonald's employees who refused.

So they went across the street to a Dollar General store, bought scissors and returned to the McDonald's. They each took a turn cutting several inches of hair from the back of the child's head. Of course, they fled, but police were able to identify Lopan from the security video.

Lopan and her friend were in court on May 28 where they entered admission in the assault of the 3 year-old. Lopan also entered admission in another case where she made eight months of telephone calls to a teen in Colorado. These telephone calls included threats of rape and mutilation.

District Juvenile Judge Scott Johansen ordered the 11 year-old to get her hair cut, too...as short as his, but he allowed her to get it done at a salon.

Judge Johansen said Lopan's behavior was "egregious". She was ordered to pay restitution to both victims, serve 276 hours of community service and serve 30 days in detention.
"If she was my daughter, I wouldn't want her with the (youth) work crew," the judge said.
"I know, I thought of that," Bruno said.
"I'm going to give you this option: I will cut that by 150 hours if you want to cut her hair right now," Johansen said.

"Me, cut her hair?" Bruno asked.
"Right now," the judge said. "I'll go get a pair of scissors and we'll whack that ponytail off."
Moss, the victim's mother, was in the courtroom and fully supported the penalty. She even spoke up when she didn't believe Bruno had cut enough of Lopan's ponytail off.
"Satisfied? Is it short enough?" Johansen asked Moss.
"No," she replied. "My daughter's hair that had never been cut, that was down to (the middle of her back), was cut up to here."
"Take it off clear up to the rubberband," the judge told Bruno, who protested that the scissors he'd given her weren't up to the task.
"Take a little bit at a time," Johansen said.
Watch the video below.

At least, the 11 year-old was truthful; she told authorities they both cut the child's hair, but Lopan blamed it all on her friend. Bruno said she grounded Lopan as punishment.

Why is Bruno acting as if her daughter is the victim? The judge didn't force her to cut Lopan's hair. She cut it because she wanted to shorten her daughter's community service.

Now that the daughter received fewer community service hours, Bruno complains that she was encouraged and intimidated into cutting her daughter's hair.

528648_Hot Flash Relief

Suddenly, it's clear why the daughter is a liar, a bully, irresponsible and is a bad influence on the 11 year-old. Rather than filing a complaint against the judge, Bruno should spend some time teaching her daughter that there are serious consequences for assault.

Bruno said she is outraged at the judge's decision. I'm outraged that Bruno brought this to the attention of the media. Now she is showing the world that her daughter is a bully and that she lacks good parenting skills.

I agree with the judge's decision and I applaud him for his creative sentencing. Although, the judge's action may not be appropriate in all cases of assault, it's perfect for this case.

528669_Exercise Shorts

One burning question is left unanswered in all accounts of this story: Where was Mindy Moss, the mother of the 3 year-old, while the girls were befriending her daughter, asking to use scissors, going to buy scissors and returning to cut her daughter's hair?  This certainly took more than a few minutes.

525035_Save 10% Today At SuppliesOutlet.com

It's clear Lopan has serious issues and she need intervention before she actually ends up in the criminal justice system.  Bruno would do well to spend her time taking parenting classes.

Bruno is concerned about choosing to cut her daughter's hair...that should be the least of her worries.  Hair grows back!

Bad Role Models

Last week, principal at Partin Settlement Elementary in Kissimmee, Florida was arrested after "providing" an undercover agent with drugs.

Police received information that David Groover, 43, provided methamphetamine and GHB ( which is also known as the "date rape" drug and as liquid ecstasy) to adults at his home.
Osceola Co.  Sheriff's Office

An informant set up a meeting between Groover and an undercover agent. Grover invited them into his home and showed them a baby bottle with a liquid that Groover said was "G", a street name for GHB. Police say Groover also had a glass pipe with "Tina", also known as methamphetamine.

A search, of his home in St. Cloud, produced two ounces of GHB, 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, a "marijuana cigar," two vials with "liquid", a glass pipe and rolling paper.

Groover was arrested and charged with delivery and possession of GHB and methamphetamine, as well as possession of two other drugs.  He has since bonded out of jail and resigned from his job, but said, "I'm not ready to talk about it" when questioned by the media.

Groover deserves life in prison just for selling the "date rape" drug!  However, it's clear why he might need it to get a date.

528648_Chill Out

In another story from Florida, a teacher was arrested in Orange County Friday for soliciting sex with a teen over the internet.
Orange Co. Sheriff's Office

Brian Gerald Shriner, 46, exchanged emails for several months with an undercover agent, who posed as a teen.

They arranged a meeting for last Friday morning in Winter Springs and when Shriner arrived, he was arrested.

Shriner was a teacher at The Geneva School in Orlando, but has now been fired from his position.

Shriner said he is also a priest and he assists at New Covenant Anglican Church in Winter Springs.

Shriner was a teacher and a priest...now,  he's a sex offender and a pedophile!

2 Year-Old Drives Family's SUV

An SUV rolled down the steep driveway of a Rock Hill, SC home last Sunday about 4 p.m.  The Chevy Tahoe rolled across five lanes of traffic, hit a ditch and ended up on its side.

A next-door neighbor said, "I saw the car rolling back, then it flipped...and then I saw a baby."

An unidentified witness helped the child from the car and held her until police arrived.

Police and EMS arrived and the 2 year-old girl was checked for injuries; surprisingly, she was uninjured.  Police were pretty sure the car and the baby came from the same house...the house across the street with the door open.

They took the toddler and went to the house and eventually upstairs to the parents bedroom.  Police found the television on and the parents sleeping.  The officer could not wake them up until he banged, loudly, on the bedroom wall.

The 2 year-old toddler's mom, Amy Patty, is upset at "all of you [media] coming here because people will think I'm a bad mother."  She said she is also upset because her daughter "could have died".

Patty said she got home from work around 2:30 p.m. and she and her husband fell asleep. She said she thought the car keys were on a hook in her kitchen and that the 2 year-old must have gotten the keys.

It's reported elsewhere the parents said there daughter was watching cartoons when they fell asleep.

There are so many questions and so few answers.  How did a 2 year-old get keys from the hook in the kitchen, open the door to the house, open the car door, get into the SUV, and take it out of gear?  Were the car keys found in the ignition?  Why weren't the bedroom and front doors locked?  How long had they been really been asleep?  Why were they sleeping so soundly in the afternoon?

No way a 2 year-old did this.  Even if she somehow managed to get inside the Chevy Tahoe, how would she depress the brake to get the car out of gear?

Maybe one or both parents came home...intoxicated, left the keys in the car and the car door open.  Then went upstairs and "fell asleep".  This is one scenario, but it's only speculation.

Regardless of how it happened, the parents are at fault.  They should have made sure the child and the home were secure so an inquisitive toddler could not get out.  Taking a nap in the afternoon with a 2 year-old up and moving around is completely irresponsible.  Both parents should be charged with neglect.

Until more information is available and unless you believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, this story is totally

Peace

Car Thief Twice Steals and Returns Same Car

There is an unusual kind of car thief working a Manalapan, New Jersey neighborhood. A couple of weeks ago, the thief stole a black Chrysler 300 from a locked garage on Lauren Court. The thief later returned the car, parking it down the street from the owners home.

Less than a week later, the same car was taken from its garage and this time the thief also stole $300 in cash from the kitchen of the home. He returned the car, minus a quarter tank of gas, leaving it on the street again. In both instances, the thief damaged the automatic garage door.

Three days later, the homeowner heard a noise and went downstairs to investigate.  He saw a man attempting to burglarize his home.

"I confronted him face-to-face, closer than I am with you now. I told him, 'Son you're wrong for what you've done', he was pleading with me to please let him go,' the man said." He obviously let him go because the guy made a rapid get away on foot.

The first time the car was stolen, the victim left the keys in the car. The second time the thief went into the kitchen of the house, took the keys and the money.

Manalapan Police Department
Police released this composite of the thief.

Why would a car thief steal and return a car?

Most likely, there are drugs involved. He probably needed his fix and used the car to pick up the drugs.

With the composite and fingerprints (bet he wasn't smart enough to wipe down the car), hopefully police will catch him soon.

Peace

Woman Drove Off With Baby on Roof of Car

Just after midnight on Sunday morning, police received a call about a baby, strapped in a safety seat,  in the middle of an intersection.

Leilani Gerlach, a neighbor who found the five week-old infant said, "The baby was all nice and tucked in and nothing was wrong with him, thank goodness."

Witnesses told the officers that Catalina Clouser, 19, is the mother of the infant. The witnesses and Clouser are friends.  Officers were still interviewing witnesses when Clouser arrived.

How and why did this happen?  Well, Clouser, with the baby, and her boyfriend were in the park drinking beer and smoking weed.  Around 11 p.m., Clouser, her infant and her boyfriend left the park to make a beer run.

Phoenix police stopped the car and promptly arrested the boyfriend for aggravated DUI for driving drunk with the baby in the car.

Well, Clouser was so upset about her boyfriend's arrest, she went to the home of friends, the witnesses, and admittedly smoked "two additional bowls of marijuana".

She left with the baby around midnight to go home.  When she got home, she noticed the baby was not in the car...or on the roof...where she realized she had left him.

She called her friends to ask them to follow the route she had taken and look for the baby. When Clouser arrived, she was arrested.

The infant was taken by Arizona Child Protective Services and Clouser was charged with aggravated DUI and child abuse.

Some people should just not procreate, especially before age 25. If she saved the money spent on beer, weed and red hair dye, she could pay for desperately needed addiction and parenting classes.

Peace

Real Cleaning Fairy

Last week while Sherry Bush of Westlake, Ohio was away from home and her daughter was sleeping upstairs, someone broke into her home. This intruder didn't take anything, she left something for Bush, a bill for cleaning services.

Bush's 18 year-old daughter woke to find the house all cleaned up and thought her parents hired a cleaning service. However, when she mentioned the cleaner to her mother, Bush told her they hadn't hired a cleaning service and it must have been a mistake.

Bush noticed someone had cleaned up in the kitchen, took out the trash, vacuumed and cleaned up the playroom. The intruder left a note with her name and contact information which included a charge of $75 for the cleaning services. Warren wrote the note on a napkin and left it on the table.

Bush was sure Sue Warren had simply cleaned the wrong house. However, when Bush contacted her, Warren said she didn't clean the wrong house and she does this all the time. Bush told police, "I'm like, well, what do you mean?" and Warren said, "I just stop and clean your house".

Authorities said they don't know if Sue Warren really does this all the time, but she did last month. She broke into a home in Bay Village and she was charged with trespass.

Reporters attempted to speak with Warren, but there was no answer at her home. A friend living at Warren's home said Warren works all the time and owns her own cleaning business. According to authorities, Warren was arrested this week.

Warren had an idea for marketing her business, but I guess she forgot that breaking into someone's home is a criminal act even if she doesn't steal anything. Police think this is a pattern as there are similar reports in other areas.

From Fox8.com:
"A pattern Brad Hartig of Olmsted Township knows well. Hartig says Warren used to clean his house until he let her go. He says she kept coming back uninvited.
"She said, 'I left you a note on your counter saying I'll be back two weeks later.'  I told her, 'Remember, I told you we don't need you anymore, and you still tried to get in the house,'" said Hartig. Hartig filed a police report.
He says Warren never stole anything from his house -- just a sense of security. "I've changed all my alarm codes and garage door codes and everything else. And she still continued to call and try and get back in," said Hartig."
Warren, obviously, has some mental health issues; but too bad the duster was busted.

I've always had a fantasy of someone cleaning my house; it would be wonderful to just find everything sparking clean.  I wonder if she does windows?  I so hope this type crime-wave 'sweeps' my neighborhood.

What would you do if someone broke into your home and cleaned it?  Would you report it to police?

Peace

Man Fathers 30 Children With 11 Different Women

Desmond Hatchett, 33, from Knoxville, Tennessee was in court last week because he is delinquent on his child support payments. He has a minimum wage job and he wants the court to help him pay support for his 30 children.

The children range in age from toddlers to 14 years-old and there are 11 different mothers. He fathered four babies in one year, two times.

Hatchett was in court in 2009 for child support when he had only 21 children. In the last three years, he has fathered nine more children.

Now, he is in court again. This time he is asking the court to help him pay his child support. Hatchett complains the state already takes half of his pay. Half isn't much as some of the women only receive $1.49 per month.

Hatchett has some nerve asking taxpayers to pay his child support when more than likely, taxpayers already support them in one way or another.  If he didn't know before, he knew he couldn't afford to pay when he was in court in 2009.  But what does he do...he fathers nine more children.

He should be required to work a second full time job to help support his children. If the women aren't working, they should be required to get  jobs.

Some of these women had to know this man had more children than he could support.  So why have a child with him?  Apparently, there is a shortage of men in Knoxville or there is a shortage of women with common sense.

Taxpayers aren't responsible for supporting children he fathered. The money would be better spent paying for him to have a vasectomy.

Peace

Four Kids Strapped to the Hood of a Car

Stefanski and Clark
On Monday, the two people to the left were at the liquor store when they thought it would be fun to strap four kids to the hood of the car.

According to a witness, the children whose ages are 4, 5, 6 and 7, had a "strap" across their legs and they were trying to get free. She said she told the two adults, "Don't do that."

The car, with the kids strapped on the hood, left the parking lot. Police received a call around 5:30 p.m. Monday reporting that a man and a woman strapped four kids to the hood of a car and left the liquor store parking lot.

Thanks to a U.S. Marshall, they didn't get very far; he stopped the car two blocks from the liquor store and detained them until police arrived. Police arrested the driver, Aaron Stefanski, 29 years-old, and passenger, 29 year-old Jessica Clark.

"They were all drunk.  They were all all high, or whatever. They've got babies on a car!  That's not nice," said Tom Nowak. Unless Tom has a driver, the police should arrest him, too. Seems to have had a few too many himself.

In a later interview with Sarah, Stefanski's ex-wife:
Sarah said she was shocked to hear her ex-husband do something like that.  She said she won't let her husband see the kids ever again.
"If the courts tell me I have to, I will," Sarah said.  "I feel for him.  I know he loves his children.  But as a mother, he put my children in harms way.  He's done."
Though her kids weren't physically hurt, she worries about the long-term effects surrounding the traumatic incident.

According to Sarah, it is out of character for either Stefanski or Clark to behave this way.  She said both are good parents; she lived next door to Clark for over two years.

Sarah said she has gotten a lot of criticism, but said she had nothing to do with it. However, since the children spend half the time with their father and half with Sarah, it's difficult to believe she didn't know Stefanski drank while the children were in his custody.

Sarah didn't want to give her last name or her age, but she appears much older than Stefanski's 29 years.

Peace
