Less than a week later, the same car was taken from its garage and this time the thief also stole $300 in cash from the kitchen of the home. He returned the car, minus a quarter tank of gas, leaving it on the street again. In both instances, the thief damaged the automatic garage door.
Three days later, the homeowner heard a noise and went downstairs to investigate. He saw a man attempting to burglarize his home.
"I confronted him face-to-face, closer than I am with you now. I told him, 'Son you're wrong for what you've done', he was pleading with me to please let him go,' the man said." He obviously let him go because the guy made a rapid get away on foot.
The first time the car was stolen, the victim left the keys in the car. The second time the thief went into the kitchen of the house, took the keys and the money.

Why would a car thief steal and return a car?
Most likely, there are drugs involved. He probably needed his fix and used the car to pick up the drugs.
With the composite and fingerprints (bet he wasn't smart enough to wipe down the car), hopefully police will catch him soon.
Peace
