A guy from Florida went on a real crime spree in Broward County. On April 17 at 11:30 p.m., he began his spree with the China Chief Restaurant in North Lauderdale.
He gained entrance by throwing an object through the glass door. He stole money from the cash register and left the restaurant.
Approximately thirty minutes later, someone matching the same description, broke into a Tamarac restaurant. Before he was done, he burgled two more Tamarac restaurants and one in Oakland Park.
Police just released this surveillance video a few days ago.
The suspect was wearing a ski mask and gloves and carrying a backpack.
The burglar took money from all five restaurants and even took flat screen televisions from some restaurants. Four of the five restaurants were Asian.
The same guy is suspected of fifteen or more burglaries in Broward County.
Weird Disguise
In January of this year, Tazviona Maluge Bhebe, 40, robbed a liquor store in London. In April Bhebe pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of a knife. On May 1, he was sentenced to three years in prison.
During the robbery, Bhebe threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded money. The clerk jumped the counter, grabbed a sign and hit Bhebe which caused him to lose his disguise...a pair of boxer shorts..over his head. Bhebe ran from the store and left the area.
It was a poor disguise...you can see part of his face with the boxers on his head. So was this a spur of the moment idea where he removed his boxers to use as a disguise or was it planned and he actually brought along the boxers to use as a disguise.
Police identifed him from the security video in the liquor store and....from the DNA removed from the boxer shorts he left behind.
Peace
