Man Dead in His Home for Four Years

Four years ago, David Carter told some friends he was moving away from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  His home didn't seem in disrepair over the four-year period.  A friend said the grass was cut and the snow shoveled so they thought everything was fine.

After four years, someone finally went to the house.  A real estate worker went to the home to repossess it...the bank finally realized it hadn't been paid in four years.

It will probably take the real estate worker quite some time to get over the shock of what he found...David Carter's "nearly skeletonized'  remains on his stairway, in his home, with a gunshot in his head, and a handgun on his chest.

Police believe Carter committed suicide years ago with a gun shot to the head. His friends say that he may have been upset over the breakup with his daughter's mother.

"I knew he was alone and I wanted to talk to him," Theresa Bornheimer tells CBS 58," but I never did because he was never home."

Never home in four years! He, evidently, didn't have any close friends or someone would have realized he was missing.  His only family is a teenage daughter, but it seems they were estranged.

It's so sad...no one knew.  Unbelievable that the County or the bank didn't show up for four years.

Peace
