Recently, a man suffered a heart attack at a restaurant in Las Vegas. He was eating a 6,000 calorie triple bypass burger at Heart Attack Grill when he began to have a heart attack. He was taken away by ambulance and is reported to be doing well.
The restaurant gives fair warning about what you are about to consume. Its motto is "Taste Worth Dying For!" and anyone over 350 lbs eats free. The restaurant also has a tongue-in-cheek sign on the door that says the dining fare is a health risk.
The owner of the restaurant, John Bassco, wears doctor's garb, the customers wear hospital gowns and the servers are called nurses. Menu items include "flatliner" fries, burgers from single bypass to quadruple bypass, butterfat milkshakes and non-filtered cigarettes. And for your dining pleasure, all food is fried in lard...yep...lard. I can feel my arteries start to clog just reading this menu.
John Bassco defends his restaurant in this video.
Surprisingly, this is the first time someone has had a heart attack at Heart Attack Grill. An anti-meat advocacy group asked the owner to shut down the restaurant after this happened. Also, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine sent at letter to Bassco. In the letter, they asked him to "declare moral bankruptcy" and close the place down.
Heart bypass surgery is no joke and it's the kind of food he sells that leads to bypass surgery. John talks about people being overweight and eating what they want, but I notice he doesn't seem overweight and I bet he doesn't eat anything on his menu.
I agree with the Physicians Committee...Bassco is morally bankrupt.
Peace
