Davis said she had been drinking at a sports bar. Her blood alcohol level was 0.18 which is more than twice the legal driving limit.
She called her mother to say she was in jail. Her mother asked about the baby and Davis said someone was watching her son. Her mom didn't buy her story and contacted Forsyth County Sheriff's office to check on the baby.
Deputies arrived at the home and knocked on the door, but there was no response. They were searching around the outside of the house when they heard a dog barking and a baby crying. Deputies forced their way into the home.
They found the two year-old toddler dressed in only a white t-shirt which was dirty. The toddler had taken his diaper, overloaded with feces, off and threw it on the floor. His hands, legs and feet were covered in feces.

"Deputies on the scene began to clean the feces off of the child and put a clean diaper on him. Because of the disarray of the home, deputies could not tell if the clothes on the floor were clean or dirty. One deputy got clothes and food from his home and gave it to the child, while another went to a local store to get the child something to drink. Deputies said it was clear the child was very hungry." After the child was removed from the home, deputies noticed bug bites on his legs which they think were from fleas. The child was placed in protective custody with the Department of Family and Children Services.
Davis is charged with DWI, second-degree cruelty to children and she may face charges of reckless conduct. She is in the Fulton County Jail under a $2,500 bond.
The toddler had probably been home alone since Thursday evening. Deputies said the doors to the home were locked and the child was locked inside his room.
This is such a sad story, but glad the toddler was removed from her custody. Unfortunately, these type stories are becoming a common occurrence.
God bless the children!
Peace
