A Florida Highway Patrol Officer noticed her car pulled over beside the Northbound lanes of I-95 in Port St. Lucie County. The officer went to investigate and found Melissa Mansfield squatting by her car.
Trooper P. E. Oneyear asked Mansfield what she was doing. She responded, "I am going to the bathroom". He asked her for her driver's license and she said she did not have it with her.
She appeared very nervous and was slow responding when Trooper Oneyear asked her for her name and address information. He ran her name through the databases for Florida and Georgia and could find no license for the name she gave the Trooper.
There is more...Trooper Oneyear ran the car tags and got a hit...the car was listed as stolen from Key West, Florida. Mansfield told the Trooper she was driving from the Keys and then told him, "I'm not trying [to] go to jail tonight". She said it was her boyfriend's car, but could not provide his name.
The Trooper asked dispatch to contact the owner of the car to see if they knew Mansfield. The owner said he did not know Mansfield. He said he left his car outside his home while he ran in briefly and when he returned, his car was gone.
That's not all...while checking her car, the Officer found empty beer bottles on the front passenger seat and on the floor that were still cold.
Trooper Oneyear arrested Mansfield and took her to the Port St. Lucie County Jail. She is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, indecent exposure and driving without a valid license.
Mansfield could have avoided all this trouble if she had not pooped beside the highway, leaving herself exposed to southbound traffic. But, nature called...and she answered.
Peace
