Four Bank Robberies in Four Hours

Houston police were on overloaded Saturday when it comes to bank robberies. There were four bank robberies in four hours by different robbers.

Two Wells Fargo branches, a Chase Bank and a Compass Bank were all robbed between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The first robbery was at a Wells Fargo banch. A man, who said he had a gun, handed the teller a note demanding cash which was given. Police believe this robber cased another bank a few minutes before robbing the Wells Fargo.

At 11:30 a.m., the second robbery occurred at another Wells Fargo branch when two men took over the bank. Dressed in black with their faces covered and armed with guns, they told everyone in the bank to get on the floor. One robber guarded them while the other crossed the counter and took cash.

The third robbery happened at 11:45 a.m. when a lone gunman held a teller at gunpoint and robbed the Compass bank. After he received the money, he fired a shot at the ceiling. The getaway car was a white truck with "Ace" on the back.

The Chase Bank was robbed at 2:30 p.m. by a man who said he had a gun, but never displayed it. A dye pack exploded, but he got a way on foot with cash in his pockets.





Four bank robberies in four hours is not a common occurrence. The Feds believe the two robberies with notes may be connected.

Security cameras captured pictures of the three lone bank robbers and are asking for the public's help in identifying these men. Unable to post the security camera pictures here, but they are very clear. So I don't think these three will be free much longer. Especially since a reward is offered.

These three dumb criminals evidently forgot about security cameras when they robbed the banks wearing only sunglasses and caps as their disguise. Or maybe they are simply drug addicts who needed money for a fix and just did not care at the time.

The second robber got away in a white truck with "Ace" on the back. I got it...he robbed the bank while on his lunch hour from his job at Ace Hardware.

The second robbery by two men seems well organized and this is probably not the first time they robbed a bank.

The fourth robber probably still has some dye on him from the dye pack that exploded.
