Playing "Touchy-Feely" With Corpse

Larry Clement, 57, of Temperance, Michigan worked at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home where he was a non-licensed part-time employee.  That is, until he was arrested last week for abusing a corpse.

On March 4, another employee caught Clement in the act of touching the genitals of female dead body. He was fired from the funeral home.

A representative for the funeral home said they wanted to alert the family before they contacted police.  But the family said the funeral home offered them the $11,000 funeral for free if they would keep quiet and not contact police.  The victim's brother said they refused the offer.

It's possible Clement took the job at the funeral home because he is a necrophiliac. What ever the reason he abused the deceased, it was a reason based in mental illness.  He should be charged and jailed; hopefully, in a place where he can get some help.

You probably never thought worrying about a relative being abused, after death, would be an issue.  But we forget there are many mentally sick people walking the streets and working next to us every day.  It's sad, they don't get the help they need, and others are just closet freaks.

Peace
