A Monroe, Mich. woman is accused of offering herself and her daughter for sex to settle a $25 debt at a pawn shop. She previously pawned a laptop for $120 and she didn't want to lose it, but apparently didn't have the $25 payment.
The co-owner of the pawn shop contacted police, but now the woman is saying it was all a misunderstanding. She says she was making a joke and she never included her daughter.
Do you really believe her story? The co-owner of the pawn shop says the daughter said, "not this time, just you, right", which implies this has happened before. It's disgusting and nothing in life could make me so desperate as to offer my daughter for sex.
Sorry, but I am not convinced she isn't guilty as charged. The co-owner of the pawn shop was so right to call police and I believe his account of what happened.
Now that Child Protective Services is involved, she's worried...she should be. Too bad she wasn't worried about her daughter before she (allegedly) offered her for sex.
Who even jokes about offering sex for a debt...maybe someone who would actually do it.
Peace
