Voting can be dangerous to your health. At least, it was for Greg Flanagan of Ohio. He required a trip to the hospital after voting on Tuesday.
Flanagan was at the hospital because James N. Williams, an Election Day rover, bit his nose while at an election site.
"Rover" bites nose...LOL. I realize this is not funny to Flanagan, but let's hope he has a sense of humor.
[From newsobserver.com:] "I'm glad that he turned himself in because that's the first right decision he's made in the last 24 hours," Flanagan said after hearing of Williams' surrender.
The poll workers were arguing about the distance between campaign signs and the polling place which is regulated. Flanagan told Williams "Measure the distance if you are concerned, and don't be an ass." Williams asked, "What did you say?" and Flanagan repeated his statement.
Flanagan says he intervened because "My main purpose was to defuse the situation and to protect the woman,"

Flanagan is correct in saying Williams made the right decision by surrendering himself to police. Williams assaulted Flanagan and should be charged.
But what about Flanagan's decision-making skills.
He intervenes in an argument between two poll workers. Williams was not physically attacking the female poll worker so there was no need to "protect the woman". He says he hoped to "defuse the situation". Flanagan thought calling Williams an "ass" would defuse the situation...really?
Flanagan got the worse end of an argument he instigated when he stuck his nose into the business of the poll workers and it got bitten.
Peace
