Naughty, Not Nice

The Christmas season is about goodwill, peace and love. But someone forgot to remind Ruth Wagner, of Plantsville, MA, that stealing and assault are not nice. While "shopping" at a crafts fair, she allegedly stabbed a woman in the arm with a Christmas ornament.

A vendor at the crafts fair noticed Wagner hanging around her tables and thought she might be stealing because a piece of jewelry was missing from one of her table. When Wagner again returned to the area, the vendor watched as she stole a seashell ornament and she confronted Wagner.

After being confronted, Wagner began to run, trying to get away. The vendor yelled "stop her". Another vendor attempted to block Wagner and that's when Wagner allegedly stabbed her with the seashell ornament.

Although Wagner managed to get away, witnesses saw her leave in a red car and were able to get the license number and called police.

The unidentified victim suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital to remove a piece of the seashell ornament from her arm.

Police found Wagner a short time later at her home where she was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace and sixth-degree larceny.  She was released on a $100,000 bond and her court date is 12/05/11.

Wagner, in her naughty theft, only managed to steal about $91 of jewelry, decorations and other items from several vendors at the crafts fair.

Wager apparently forgot Santa keeps a list and he's "gonna find out who's naughty or nice". So this Christmas, she gets to go to jail and she gets coal in her Christmas stocking for being naughty.

Peace
