Baby's Body Found In Car For Sale

Car thieves, in the Western German State of Saarland, notice a small red car parked on vacant land near a gas station. The car is apparently for sale.

Of course, the thieves, three men and a woman, ages 19 to 28 years-old, search the car for valuables.  Not sure if they find any valuables, but they do find a rucksack (backpack) in the trunk of the car.

Eager to find something they can sell, the thieves open the backpack and are shocked.  So shocked, they contact police about what they find in the rucksack...the body of a baby.

Police believe the baby's body has been in the backpack for a while, but have not yet determined how the baby died. They hope the autopsy will tell whether the baby was still-born or born alive and killed.

Ok...only a crazy person would put a car up for sale and leave the body of a baby in the trunk!

Police track down the "crazy" owner of the car...a 23 year-old woman who actually admits she is the mother of the dead baby.  She is being interrogated by police.

If the baby died of natural causes why wasn't its body buried?  Why was her baby's body in the trunk of her car that was for sale?   I can't imagine how she could forget the body was in the car.  This story makes absolutely no sense...unless, the baby was killed and she wanted to be caught.

Car thieves are a pain...stealing and damaging property belonging to others. But, I must give a 'thumbs up' to these thieves for contacting police. They had to know they would be arrested (at least, I am assuming they were arrested), but they call police anyway.

Maybe the old saying is true...there is honor among thieves.

Strange, indeed...

Peace
