Russian Man Lives With 29 Female Corpses

Russian police were working on desecration of graves in several cemeteries in Nizhny Novgorod which led them to Anatoli Moskvin and his apartment on Volga River. Russian police found 29 mummified female corpses in his apartment last week.

Moskvin, 45, reportedly dug up the bodies in cemeteries all over Nizhny Novgorod over a two-year period. His fingerprints were found at several cemeteries over the city.

Each corpse was dressed in very brightly colored clothing and headscarves. Reports state the hands and faces were wrapped in cloth. Russian authorities also found manuals for doll-making, maps of local cemeteries and plaques from the tombstones.

Moskvin, a well-known historian in Russia, has a PhD in Celtic Studies and is a well-respected specialist in cemeteries. It's reported he was detained at a cemetery with a bag of bones. Police discovered the bodies when they went to see him about desecration of the cemeteries.

Moskvin has written several articles about cemeteries and is well-known in the area for his interest in the dead. In 2007, Moskvin reportedly said he inspected 752 cemeteries while traveling around 20 miles per day on foot. It's reported he drank from puddles, spent nights in haystacks and once even slept in a coffin.

Last month, he wrote an article on necrology, explaining his interest in the subject. During an interview, he says he came across a funeral of an 11 year-old girl when he was 12 years-old. The funeral participants forced him to kiss her face. He says, later he grew interested in the occult.

He managed to keep his secret pretty well hidden. Did his parents know what was going on in his room? I doubt it; they probably never went into his area of the apartment.

Necrophilia is sexual attraction for or sexual intercourse with dead bodies. I wonder what his room would show if police used an alternate light source to locate semen stains.

Peace
