Strange Weather...Hurricane Irene

We've had really strange weather this week.  There were tornadoes, an earthquake and a hurricane.  During a hurricane, most sensible people leave the beach...unless, you're a surfer or a television reporter.  The waves are a huge draw for surfers, but why television stations find it necessary to send reporters there is just crazy to me.  I could be wrong now, but I don't think so...It's a hurricane out there!
