Mom Calls Police On Her Brawling Teens

Would you call the police on your children because they are fighting with each other?  Well, a Salem, Mass. mom did and she asked police to arrest her 15-year-old son and her sixteen-year-old daughter...she wanted them gone from the home.

This mom couldn't control her children so she calls the police for help.  Her teens weren't arrested, but police say her son will be summoned to court for hitting his eight-year-old sister.

Siblings sometimes fight with each other and these teens were in a physical scuffle. I can understand how she may fantasize about calling police on her children, but what she did was an extreme move.

The mom is the one who should be arrested. She should be charged for calling police to handle parenting issues and for not doing a better job of raising her children.

Although, not all children who act out have parents who don't try to teach them, many do. If you don't spend the time with children and teach by example, you can't expect them to know what is appropriate and and what isn't.

Parents will quickly say it's not their fault how their children turn out, but children are born with a clean slate and everything from there is learned behavior.

It's a good thing that police notified child welfare authorities because these children need help before it is to late for them.

Obviously, this single mom of five children, ages 15 to 2 years, is not a good example for them and it appears the fathers (not sure how many) are not around.

Do you think this mom should have called police?  Have you ever called police on your children?

Peace
