Excuses, Excuses

Hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend.  

Well, summer is officially over… (Sigh), and school has begun which explains the happy chatter I heard outside this morning. Cute kids excited about starting a new school year.

Now, for today's insanity. Several days ago, there were snakes in the pants, snakes in the pants on the plane and now, this.  Police found a man reportedly lying beside the road and possibly the victim of an assault.  Once they arrived, another man approached who accused the first man of biting his snake.  Poor snake went to the vet…its liver was showing and other injuries. 

When told what he had done, the biter said “I did what?” In my best Urkel voice, “Did I do that?”  His explanation is that he has a drinking problem and doesn’t remember biting the snake. He wanted police to tell the owner that he was sorry and would help pay medical bills. 

Why he doesn’t think he is responsible for all medical bills is probably the same reason he bit the snake. Appears he may have greater problems than drinking too much.  Strange explanations almost, always make no sense.
